There are really no words to express the excitement that has started to spread about this young stallion!

Abold Afire made his show ring debut under saddle in 2005. Shown by Zac Powell, he won 3 Reserve Championship titles in his first three shows as a Jr. Western horse. He went on to be Region 13 Top 5 Champion Jr. Western Horse and WMAHA Fall Classic Champion Jr. WP Horse.

In 2006, Abold Afire came out of training to focus on breeding. After covering a large book of mares, he returned to training and is now working towards US Nationals for the first time.

At the same time, his first foals were also appearing in the show ring. Abold Shampayne was WMAHA Reserve Champion Yearling Filly in her first show. Those foals have went on to other halter wins and several will be started under saddle this fall. We are very excited to see what his foals will do under saddle. We expect them to follow in their sire’s footsteps – win at halter and excel even higher under saddle!

Abold Afire exhibits many of the superb traits that you would expect to see when you study his fabulous pedigree. His paternal side brings together the incredible combination of Huckleberry Bey and *Bask. The blend that has perpetuated his sire, Afire Bey V to superstar status - the #1 Sire of Purebred Performance Horses AND the #1 Sire of Purebred Halter and Performance Horses.

However, behind every great stallion is a great broodmare, and the maternal side of Abold Afire's pedigree is what sets him apart from other Afire Bey V sons.

His dam, Belle Tatiana is sired by the Russian imported stallion, *Tamerlan. You may recognize his name from other pedigrees like *Kadraj and Padron Psyche. *Tamerlan is a son of the immortal Arax, imported from Poland to Russia in 1958. Arax was the leading sire at Tersk for the ten years that he stood there. Arax is sired by Amurath-Sahib, known as the "Sire of great Broodmares". *Tamerlan is out of the classic Pomerantes daughter, Trapecia.

The unique and rare pedigree of *Tamerlan brings together the three traits that every breeder seeks - correct structure, refinement and athletic ability. In an American Arabian gene pool increasingly bent towards Arabians with exotic heads and necks, coupled with weak loins and hips - this Russian bloodline shines through. These strong Russian lines produce strong hips and loins, so consistently, without losing type or balance.

When you see Abold Afire, it is very easy to see his grandsire *Tamerlan. His large, dark, expressive eye, short, refined head, long, correct legs, strong, level topline and hip.

When you see him move, you see his incredible sire - Afire Bey V. The trot of Abold Afire is effortless - like a stallion floating in time.

If you are looking for the future sire of your National-level halter, western or hunter foal, we invite you to breed to Abold Afire.
